New Moon Simmer Pots

Today is

January 1st 2014

and there is a New Moon today..

at 4:14 am

It is a Supermoon, one that occurs twice in January.
On January 1st and 30th the moon will be closest to the earth.
It is rare to have two Supermoons in one month, it won’t happen again until 2018.

The significance for us, perhaps, is that while tides may rise higher

it might be time to let go of the past and open ourselves to the new year and a new life ahead.

Simmer Pot 6

On January 1st

stimulate your senses,

evoke memories

and be transported on the ambrosial fragrance

Simmer Pot 10

drifting from these tiny, New Moon Simmer Pots.

Simmer Pot 9Any sort of pot will do, just add your ingredients

a splash of water to fill

and bring to a simmer over a low flame.

Simmer Pot 2Then remember to set a

timer

so that you can

replenish

them with water before they run dry.

Simmer Pot 4You will feel

renewed

and

your home will be redolent with simmering spices..

cinnamon, all spice, cloves, zested orange and lemon, star anise..

to name a few.

Simmer Pot 1Stash a few packets of these away for the next time.. perhaps the next New Moon, then

at sunrise, light your candles, set a pot filled with fragrance on a low flame.. to heat and

awaken your spirit

for the new days ahead!

Simmer Pot 13Simmer sweet new dreams

and let yourself be open to

a new year

and

a new you.
