White Linen
Blink
Limbs stir
Swathed in warmth
Stand, stretch and tug free
Cradle and drape, ramble down
Bend, stow snugly
Powdered soft
Sprinkles
Chug
And churn
Swirl and drench
Stoop and pull, lengthen
Shake, gather again fit
Slam and spin
Turn, twirl
Chime
Reach
Then grasp
Tug and feel
Dampen fresh and cool
Chilled texture, shake and lay
Gently enfold and
Heap to
Mound
Release
Crack then
Stretch arms skyward
Sun dappled white panes
Paperwhite patches stand in line
Lift then pinch
Pegs strung
Taut
Wind
Blows and
Pressed white sails
Of soft dampen linen
In limpid rhythmic waves applaud
The sun’s warmth and
Fragrant blooms’
Bouquets
