Isn’t this just the prettiest Inspirational Board..
it’s no mystery I have a “thing” for seashells and.. well.. all Coastal Decor.
You might remember this Seashell Wreath tutorial…
or this post where we traveled to the Isle of Capri and I showed you how to make a Coastal Tablescape for your home..
These ideas were shared here but also on a great website called
I’ll be adding this button to my sidebar that will take you to my any of my projects that I’ve shared on hometalk..
So why all this fuss about hometalk?
Because it’s my “go to” spot for Home and Garden inspiration..
{ although I found an adorable spring basket cookie idea there the other day as well }
All I had to do was sign up and, much like Facebook, scroll through the daily posts. From there I have added Followers and almost everyone has “Followed” me back. This is a site just overflowing with Cleaning & Organization, Crafts, Design & Décor, DIY Projects, Gardening, Home Maintenance & Repairs, Outdoor Living, Painting, Remodeling, and Repurposing & Upcycling. If you see an idea you love, you can Pin it to a Board { much like Pinterest } and save it to reference later. Often there is a link through to a Blog where the full details of the project are detailed.
So, if you’re a blogger, it’s a great way to connect. What sets it apart is this is a Community where you can just post a question instead of a project and everyone will see it and you’ll see that answers come from all over. These are questions like: “Any ideas about what to do with the brick on this house?” or how to remedy a squeaky staircase. Hometalk also has a group of Professionals and they may pop in to help you out as well.
By the way, this site is by no means limited to Bloggers, it’s open to anyone and everyone that enjoys browsing through and finding fresh Inspiration for their home.
I love walking up, pouring a cup of steaming coffee and looking through the pretty garden projects at this time of year. I get real, hands-on ideas to switch up my front porch or my garden.. but there is so much more waiting for you there.
Btw, there are no “strings” or gimmicks attached, just sign up and join in the fun! If you’re into Facebook, they have a Facebook page as well that you can “like”.
Let me know if you do join in the fun.. and I’ll be sure to Follow you!
ps this is not a sponsored ad and I was not compensated for writing this post.. I just think it’s a great site and wanted to let you know about it! xx
Thanx Barbara. It looks like I can enjoy this site so I have signed up
You sold it to me, Hometalk sounds fantastic and seems to have wonderful tips 😀
Off to check it out!
Cheers
CCU
Everything looks so beachy!
I just so happen to have a beach theme in my bathroom…I love all these ideas! Thanks!
I read your post, Barb, all the while thinking that Hometalk probably wasn’t for me. Still, rather than dismiss it out-of-hand, I took the link to check it out. Now, after 20 minutes spent browsing, I think my initial reaction was a tad premature. 🙂 Though I’m not very crafty, the garden items did catch my eye and I will be back. Thanks for the heads-up about the site.
I love your coastal board. That sort of decorating is very popular around here as there are a lot of holiday houses (by the beach) and they tend to be decorated in this style. I haven’t heard of this site. Thanks for letting me know about it xx
Thank you for writing about this Barbara. I have never head of home talk and now I can’t wait to explore it
Barb, you did an absolutely phenomenal job putting together a great collection of coastal projects. Seashells are one of my favorite beach items to collect and now I have tons of ideas of what to do with them! 🙂
