What a beautiful poem for such a lovely flower. I just picked up a bunch myself from the market because I love how cheerful they look in the kitchen. Lovely.
Thank you Sarah! So wonderful that we love the same flower:)
Barb,
So much to love in every word of this poem! But I think flocked fringes of buttered bloom describes these beauties so perfectly! I just adore peonies — they are the most beautiful flower ever! And I’m so glad you devoted a sweet bunch of verses to this well-deserving lovely little flower! I think peonies are so hopeful, waiting to bloom to give us the last scent of spring as we step into summer!
xoxo
And there’s so much to love in every word of your comment, Valerie:) We think alike:) xx
Our peonies have just about had it, alas. Such a pretty flower! One of my springtime favorites. Lovely post — thanks.
They never seem to last long enough, do they? Thanks for stopping by:)
