Eventide
Over frozen glass
These burnished clouds
Scintillate, brilliant high
Above
Lift me skyward,
Across frozen boreal
Tracks, and place me
In those hands.
That lustred sun-
Your eyes, awaken
Mine, as stars in heaven
Gleaming shine.
This glint of light,
That smile that waits
Those arms that reach
To pull me in.
Cool arctic air
Sparks skin touch,
Settles down on skiffed
Fields of white.
This night’s aurora sky
Oscillates aloft,’til
Clouds blanket trees in
Nightfall.
Breathe me in, as
Twilight showers snow
And dusk dims our brief
Hours until dawn.
