I had my first Tarot card reading yesterday
by the lovely Rickie Hurov
and I touched and shuffled the cards then pulled out the
High Priestess
card from the deck for my future..
It inspired this poem..
♥
The photograph was taken in Thailand, high above the ocean’s shoreline in a
sacred temple
of
bells
These tiny ones worked on a pulley system, the other larger bells were strung round the temple, to be rung with a wooden mallet, calling for protection from the heavenly deities,
evoking the
Buddhist tradition
of practicing
mindfulness
♥
Of course, ever the school teacher, I began ringing them one at a time until my partner sprinted past ringing them in rapid succession!

Love,
Smidge
Simply lovely …
What beautiful bells, and an inspiring poem. I don’t know enough about tarot to understand the significance of High Priestess, but I’d easily peg you as the High Priestess of beautiful living. 🙂 Just lovely, Barb.
Well.. that’s the sweetest compliment! As a card it means to be still and follow your intuition.. something I need to do more of:)
