Change is on the wing in my little cottage.
I found that the full time employment [ that carried me through this past year ] was becoming “too much” physically and mentally. I struggled with the decision for over a month. But finally decided it was time to take the sage advice I give my own children but was afraid to follow myself!
I’m so blessed to have the encouragement of Katie, Austin and Phil to help me make difficult tough decisions. Interesting that watching your loved ones live their own best lives can inspire you to do the same!
I finally chose to step off the path I was on..
to resign and take much needed time to rest without knowing what would come next.
🌸
Then I received a phone call
[ out of the blue ]
and was asked to work in this loveliest little flower shop in Kensington.
Something I’d wanted for probably a lifetime.
And so it’s time to say goodbye to co-workers I’ve spent more time with during covid than my own loved ones. This is the most difficult part of change for me, there’s that mix of sadness along with the excitement.
But also time to be thankful for all the lessons learned while working there.
The blessing in all of this is that I’m moving towards creating the life I’ve always wanted. More time to paint and thus be able to sell my paintings. Time to take care of my health and fitness, more hiking and camping. Time to focus on real estate and coaching my son who’s just become a realtor.
🌸
I think it may just be time for a new
Vision Board
although, remarkably, the “universe” seems to be bringing me these new opportunities
all on its own once I have the courage to make changes without knowing what the future will bring me.
My word for this year is
flow
learning to adapt and bend to the whims of this crazy, ever changing world.
And more than ever, as the saying goes.. I’ve discovered that when I finally take the “risk” to close one door, another one happily opens.
My life is becoming more rich and full and in focus than ever before.. it almost takes my breath away how beautiful it is.
and..
this house will definitely be on my new vision board

I love this designer’s cottage home .. apparently this style is called 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚢–𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚌 🌸 I’ve envied her loveliest art studio before but finally found pictures of the rest of her home. I think it’s the eclectic cheerful colors that stole my heart
🌸

But my favorite room of all..
is this artist’s studio
🌸
I can just imagine Bella at my feet while I paint
