While out walking Bella a few nights ago, I had my first magical encounter with a “leaner”.. my daughter tells me these are dogs who are inclined to wander over and just lean on you, perhaps just to companionably rest their legs although some say to dominate. Being new to such an experience, I was moved enough to write this poem.. I hope you’ve met a “leaner” over the years, there’s something captivating about the experience!
