Serves: 10 large
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
3 tbsp cream
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
4 tsp ketchup
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 jalapeno pepper, minced
4-6 cloves garlic
1 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
1/4 cup curry powder, or to taste
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garam masala
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium high heat.
In a large bowl mix together the beef, egg, dry breadcrumbs, cream, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced jalapeno, garlic, and ginger. Do not overwork the beef mixture.
In a small bowl blend the spices from the curry powder through to the garam masala. Sprinkle over the meat mixture then work in using your hands. Shape into patties about 1/2" thick and four inches wide. Season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
Lightly grease the grill with oil, then place the burger patties on, cook for approximately 8 minutes before flipping, grill until cooked through.
