Ever since the snow started falling yesterday,
I’ve been searching everywhere for an easy
Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe
after all.. we also know it will soon vanish from their menu!
.. a recipe that wouldn’t require:
time (who has that?), a saucepan (more clean-up), processed syrup (not healthy)
Unfortunately.. no such luck!
{ sigh }
So I made my own recipe!
{ Well, somebody had to do it! }
♥
If you have some leftover pumpkin purée or homemade purée from this recipe you, too, can create this little magical blend that is easily stirred into your milk before steaming with your espresso machine.
That’s right, just add a heaping teaspoon to your milk, steam and add a shot or two of espresso..
and you’re out the door in no time!
p.s. sprinkle some pumpkin spice over your foamed milk if you want to get fancy.
p.p.s if you’re not counting calories, you can dollop some whipped cream over top as well
Enjoy!
- 4 tbsp pumpkin purée, not pie mix
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1-2 shots espresso
- Blend the pumpkin purée, sugar, spice and vanilla together. Scoop into a glass jam jar and refrigerate until using. Add 2/3 cup milk to a mug, add one heaping teaspoonful of the pumpkin mix and stir to blend. Steam with your espresso machine and add one or two shots of espresso. Sprinkle over with pumpkin spice if you wish. Enjoy!
Forwarding this post to my friend who LOVES Starbucks!
I can’t believe the snow has already started falling. Is that early? I wouldn’t have thought you’d be having snowfalls before December. What a lovely warming latte and it must smell very Christmasy xx
We all know that snow is coming but, nevertheless, it’s a bit of a shock reading that it’s already arrived in your neck of the woods. I am sooo not ready for this. 🙂 I must confess that I’ve never tried a Starbuck’s pumpkin spice latte, Barb. I’ve led such a sheltered existence. I have all of these ingredients. Maybe it’s time I give one a try. It will only be more embarrassing next year if I don’t. 🙂
It most definitely looks magical to me! Yum!
Sounds so delicious – definitely a good way to start a snowy day!
Oh this looks so good! I love lattes and pumpkin spice ones are even better. You have snow already? Wow, that’s early.
I’m not surprised it’s snowing already, we too have skipped a season (spring) and gone straight for the summer humidity and heat! Bugger 🙂
Love your recipe Smidge, I’d have never thought of adding pumpkin to my coffee before but can definitely see how it would work!
I’m sipping my pumpkin spice latte and surprise…I see this recipe!! I have to head back into the kitchen to try this! My process involves a saucepan and cooking, so this blended recipe has definitely caught my attention!! I can imagine all sorts of uses for having a jar of this on hand…tis the pumpkin season!
Yum! I need to try this!
Oh just simply yummus! Heading to the store today and have added a few things to my list! You have been so prolific lately that I’ll need 2 lattes to keep up with all these wonderful treats from you! Xx
Don’t give Starbucks credit for this yummy recipe that is clearly your own! Sounds delicious and I’m anxious to try.
No snow please, not yet. I am sooooo not ready.
Wondering if this pumpkin mix would freeze well. Freeze using one of those small ice cube trays, one frozen pop out and into freezer bag. Now all you need to do is retrieve one frozen cube from the freezer and your pumpkin spice latte will be ready in no time.
I am all over this!! Starbucks version has dairy in the mix, so I will make this instead! YAHOO!
I made myself another this morning, Britt.. it really is yummy. I hope you can do an almond milk or something?
I really need to try this! Looks delicious. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe. Will definitely share this also to my friends.
Thanks, Cherry:)
I adore pumpkin spice lattes this time of the year. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us Barb! 🙂 Happy Halloween!
I never order any of the special drinks at Starbucks. I just assume they will be too sweet, but the pumpkin flavor does appeal to me, as well as being able to control the sweetness. Control, yes – that’s what I’m after! Thanks.
